Was excited to check out the store for the first time, planned to order from seafood. I called ahead, the person who answered was rather blunt, and then left me on hold for 5 min. Hung up, called back only to find out they don’t have the same specials as other Big Ys and i couldn’t place the order anyway because they didn’t have any shrimp.
Customer Service... I don't usually have to wait long (few mins at most)... sometimes I think... 1 or 2 of the customer service desk people "forget" that they work at the CUSTOMER SERVICE DESK!!!... & therefore aren't thrilled to have to actually help customers... you can see/hear them sighing when you ask a question... but it's only a couple of employees... the rest are fine.
Great store... Fresh prepared foods, soups, etc. Very Good.. seafood and butcher cases always exceptional...
Prices... are...well... Big Y prices you'd expect. But they are quite convenient, especially when you need just a few items or need a last minute item to bring to a friend's house (desserts, etc.)
Great store; very clean! Selection is good, but lacking in some product areas. Staff is friendly and checkout lines move quickly. Wish they had a few self-check lanes.
This Big Y is VERY NEW!! So of course, it's VERY clean, organized & well stocked.
Gorgeous grocery store with quality products! They can have really good deals on olive oil and fish but their cheese can be pricey compared to stop and shop prices. Freshly prepared food is amazing and some of their veggies are locally grown which I love!
